WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition has announced it will host its annual Day on the Hill on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, in Washington, D.C. This premier advocacy event provides CRN members with a unique opportunity to meet directly with Members of Congress and key congressional staff to discuss policy priorities critical to the dietary supplement and functional food industry.

With lawmakers and government agencies increasingly emphasizing health and wellness, CRN’s 2025 Day on the Hill will spotlight the industry’s vital role in providing consumers with safe, beneficial, and science-backed nutrition products. During their meetings with legislators, CRN members will advocate for:

  • Affordable and accessible supplements and functional foods
  • Policies that promote regulatory clarity and responsible innovation
  • A level playing field for industry stakeholders

“As our industry evolves and consumer interest in our products continues to grow, it is critical that policymakers understand the role dietary supplements and functional food play in supporting public health,” said Steve Mister, President & CEO of CRN. “Our Day on the Hill empowers our CRN members to engage directly with legislators, share industry insights, and ensure that the voices of responsible manufacturers and suppliers are heard in Washington.”

CRN’s advocacy efforts will focus on keeping dietary supplement regulations aligned with the latest scientific research and technological advancements while also protecting consumer access to high-quality products. This year’s event will emphasize:

  • The industry’s economic contributions to local communities
  • Cost savings to the healthcare system
  • The importance of a modernized regulatory framework

“Engagement with Congress is more important than ever as we work to advance policies that foster trust, transparency, and innovation in the dietary supplement sector,” said Julia Gustafson, Vice President of Government Relations at CRN. “CRN’s Day on the Hill is a powerful opportunity for industry leaders to shape the future of our regulatory environment by having their voices heard on Capitol Hill.”

CRN’s Government Relations team will provide members with further details and registration information in the coming weeks. For more information, members are encouraged to contact Emily Lewantowicz at elewantowicz@crnusa.org.
